TENEBRIA
An empire of sunlight rules the world after the sun god slew the moon demon. Now her people live in exile in hellish, frozen islands. One revolutionary slave will rediscover the power of the demon, meanwhile an imperial interrogator will do everything she can to suppress it. MAGIC
Shadebinder - Tenebrian male. Very rare. They can control their shadow to interact with the physical world.

Exomancer - Tenebrian male. Somewhat rare. They can banish heat from other entities or objects by touching them, as well as keep their bodies cooled indefinitely. This ability allows them to extinguish Illuminator lights.

Shadowfoot - Tenebrian male. Very common. Their footsteps make no noise as long as they are in shadow.

Ossifier - Aretian male. Very rare. They can focus sunlight into solid objects, typically flat planes, but skilled users can theoretically make any shape.
Endomancer - Aretian male. Somewhat common. They can use their inner light to infuse heat into other entities, as well as prevent their body from becoming cold indefinitely.

Illuminator - Aretian male. Very common. They can focus sunlight into sustain orbs for illumination, bright flashes, or to be used later by other Aretians.

Vanisher - Tenebrian female. Very rare. They can turn themselves (and whatever they are wearing or holding) invisible, as long as they are not in direct sunlight.
Illusionist - Tenebrian female. Somewhat rare. They can manipulate the physical appearance of other objects and even other people, but not themselves. The illusions do not hold up in direct sunlight.

Scotopian - Tenebrian female. Very common. They have perfect vision at night, except when there are strong light sources nearby that are not the moon.​​​
Truthseer - Aretian female. Very rare. They can extend their inner light to penetrate others. This helps them determine if the subject has magical gifts, and their emotional state. The latter is mostly commonly used in psychology, or to tell if someone is lying.

Clearer - Aretian female. Somewhat common. They can manipulate light to make objects and even people transparent. They cannot apply this effect to themselves

Purewitness - Aretian female. Very common. They have perfect eyesight, as well as perfect memory.
